Riley Keough
American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. Born in Santa Monica, California, to musicians Lisa
Marie Presley and Danny Keough and Danny Keough, she is the granddaughter of
actress Priscilla Presley and the singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by
her father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and was able to spend time with her mother in
California. When she was 15, she began modeling, which included appearances at
fashion shows for Dolce & Gabbana and Christian Dior, as well as being
featured on the cover of Vogue. Keough's feature film debut was at the age of
20, when she starred in a supporting part as Marie Currie in The Runaways
(2010). She subsequently starred in the thriller independent film The Good
Doctor (2011) and then the horror film Jack & Diane (2012) prior to
being assigned a minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic Mike (2012). In
2012, Keough appeared in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned. In the following year,
she was in the action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). It was the fourth movie
in the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. The role was praised by critics and she was nominated
for an Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an actress in a limited
series or motion picture made for television. The following performance of
Keough as a wayward young female in the drama American Honey (2017) earned more
praise with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female.
Keough was the star of the apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017).
Keough then reunited Soderbergh for a role in Logan Lucky, a heist film. In
2018, she starred in several horror and thriller movies, including Lars von
Trier's The House That Jack Built as well as the Neo-Noir Under the Silver Lake
and Hold the Dark. Keough was the leading character in 2019's psychological
horror film The Lodge. She was followed by another role in Zola (2020) that is
a comedy-drama. Keough is the main character in Sandy Harrison, Netflix's 2020
release The Devil All the Time.
